Special Activation Precinct

McLean Strategic Solutions provided environmental advice support to the Regional Growth Development Corporation (NSW Government) for the Parkes Special Activation Precinct (SAP).

The SAP is a priority initiative identified as part of the NSW Government's 20-year Economic Vision for Regional NSW and is driven by the $4.2 billion Snowy Hydro Legacy Fund. It is being designed in accordance with principles established by the United Nations Industry Development Organisation (UNIDO) and will be a true circular economy hub creating sustainable economic growth.  

McLean Strategic Solutions has been providing environmental advice to RGDC since May 2021. Services provided include:

• Reviewing and certifying the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the project 

• Assessing and verifying REF’s associated with the project works  including consistency assessments 

• Undertaking site inspections and reviewing/certifying the Construction Environmental Management Plan for the project 

• Working with stakeholders including the Department of Transport, Parkes Shire Council and the Environmental Representative to support compliance and delivery of the project for RGDC.
